Dennis Bueno

" I've been involved in music for most of my privileged days on this good earth. I strive to be a model musician. I embrace my musical passions in each and every note I play. I respect and appreciate all the artists and listeners that grace my senses. I value all the experiences that allow me to grow. Great music, musicians, and especially great percusive arts and artists bring joy to my heart. I continually pursue and perfect ways to affect the rhythmic senses of the listener. As long as there are appreciative listeners, I'll keep playing!"

 Dennis' passion is playing drum set  and hand percussion instruments of all kinds.  He doesn't shy away from performing most any genre of music.  He thrills audiences with the way he musically carresses his instrument.  He always seems to have a smile on his face as he entices the ear of the listener.

Dennis honed his early drum skills in the Drum Corp environment where he studied and successfully performed very complex award winning snare drum pieces written by Marty and Jimmy Hurley, two of drum corps renowned drum instructors.

Dennis attended Berklee College of Music in Boston where he had the privilege of studing with master drummers such as Bob Wagner, Keith Copland, Gary Chaffee, Joe Hunt; master percussionist Pablo Landrum; arranger and trumpeter Greg Hopkins; master of solfedge, jazz theory, and improvisation John La Porta;  master pianist and theorist James Williams.

Dennis entered the United States Air Force in 1978 where he worked with in the acclaimed NORAD band as a percussionist.  His military career took him to the premiere Air Force Academy band.  Dennis honorably separated from the military in 1986.

Dennis has had the privilege of working with Smooth Jazz favorites Earl Klugh, Jessy J, Spencer Day, and Dotsero.  Dennis has also had the privilege of performing with keyboardists Greg Phillinganes, David Lee Spradley, Sam Panunzio, Steve Barta,  and Flautist Dave Valentin.
